Née in the frozen bowels of Northern Alberta, Asha first became enchanted with music via bootlegged VHS copies of Disney classics. Disillusioned by the revelation that she was not in-fact a mermaid, she moved to pursue music education, graduating with Honours from the Grant MacEwan, and later the Saint Francis Xavier University, music programs. After a brief stint working in the record industry, Asha quit, became a shut in, and thought deeply about her life and the choices that had propelled her thus-far. Following a year of self- contemplation, countless serving shifts and an array of performances at small venues around the city, Asha met producer Norm Sabourin of Aqua Sound Entertainment. So began the monolith of her debut CD, soon to be her first full-length recorded album.
